In the city of Veyra, money didn't ask questions.
Mira sold peaches from a wooden cart at the edge of the Copper Market. She didn't have a bank account — never had, never wanted one. When old Tomas bought a peach, he didn't tap a card linked to his name, didn't scan a code that whispered his purchase history to a server somewhere. He simply held out his phone, and it beamed her a small, sealed token — a little cryptographic coin, blind-signed by the Veyra Mint, worth exactly one silver mark. Mira's phone checked the token was real, spent it into her own wallet, and that was it. No ledger recorded that Tomas bought a peach. No company learned he liked peaches, ate lunch at noon, or walked through the Copper Market on Tuesdays. The coin didn't carry his name. It never had.
