It was 2016. I was a blogger.

Not a big one. But serious enough to sell templates, active enough to know what was buzzing around the community. And the blogging community back then

had its own little world. We read each other's posts, left comments, shared monetization tips in discussion threads that probably no longer exist today.

That was where I first heard the word Bitcoin.

Not from a book. Not from an investment seminar. Not from anyone I knew personally.

From an article on someone else's blog.

The content was simple. Bitcoin was mentioned as a payment alternative to PayPal, specifically for selling blogger templates. I read it casually at first. But it caught my attention immediately because back then PayPal itself was already a headache. Verification was complicated, you had to use a VCC just to get it working, the whole process was long and uncertain. So if there was an easier alternative, why not look into it?

But first, I had questions. PayPal had a company behind it, a website, real offices somewhere in the world. So what kind of company was Bitcoin?

I started digging.

And the more I searched, the more confused I got.

No official website like PayPal. No headquarters. No customer service number to call. I started thinking this had to be a scam. How could money exist with nobody owning it, nobody in control?

But that was exactly what pulled me in deeper. Bitcoin wasn't a company. It wasn't a product built by some corporation. It was a system that ran on its own with no one controlling it. Anyone could use it, anyone could join, no permission required from anyone.

The moment I truly understood that, something in my head shifted permanently.

From what I had earned through blogging, I scraped together a little money. And with a mix of courage and knowledge that was still far from complete, I bought Bitcoin for the first time.

The amount was small. But it felt like signing something important.

From one blog post, everything began.

A blogger who only wanted a PayPal alternative ended up stepping into a world far bigger than anything he had imagined. From Bitcoin, to crypto as a whole, and now fully involved in the Web3 community.

Almost a decade has passed. And not a single day of it has been a regret.

Sometimes an article you stumble across out of pure curiosity can completely change the direction of your life. That is what happened to me. Not an expensive seminar, not a thick book, not a paid mentor. Just a post written by a fellow blogger who probably never knew how far the ripple would reach.
