Deadlines and Prize Structure

The contest will run starting today until May 15, 2026, aka the next scheduled eCash upgrade. Entries must be published by that date but contestants are free to publish earlier and continue editing on the platform until the deadline, after which I will begin the process of going through the entries and choosing the winners who will receive the following:

First Place: 60M XEC
Second Place: 30M XEC
Third Place: 10M XEC

Winning entries will be announced on July 1, 2026, the 5-year anniversary of the eCash rebrand, and the prizes will be sent directly to their author address.

Judgement Criteria

Submissions will be judged by the owner of this site based on originality, clarity, and quality in answering the prompt “What’s your crypto origin story?”

Looking for authentic personal experiences, a compelling narrative arc, and the ability to explain crypto concepts in an engaging and accessible way. Creativity, emotional resonance, and overall writing ability will also play a key role in determining the strongest entries.

Rules

All qualifying entries must answer the question: What’s your crypto origin story?

To enter you only need to sign up for an author account with a valid email address and publish in adherence of the following rules:

One entry per author
The title of your entry must start with My Crypto Origin Story: (then add your own subtitle)
Post has to have been published no later than May 15, 2026
Article price has to be set to 100 XEC
No word count minimum or maximum
