Think of the Fed like a quirky girlfriend; its independence is designed to prioritize long-term stability over short-term political gains. But, monetary policy ultimately reflects our collective societal choices. The real crisis isn't just economic—it's cultural. We’ve traded authentic living for sterile social media feeds. Calls to ban AI are often a confession: a fear that your life’s work has been rendered obsolete by progress. The crisis isn’t AI; it’s the refusal to adapt.
⭐ The Practice of Radical Agency ⭐ When you are self-funded you answer to one thing: the quality of the contribution. When you remove the noise of investors, exit strategies, and quarterly growth targets, you are left with the only metric that matters: Did we make something true? 🎯 The Danger: Bureaucracy, ego, and the belief that someone else is coming to save you. 🎯 The Promise: If you do the right work, with the right people, the rest takes care of itself. This is not a job. It is a practice.
By building this platform, it's opened my eyes to a lot of things. One of them being the grifter's mentality of only building something to raise capital versus building something because you believe it can add value to the world. If you believe in something, you want to own it yourself, not sell off pieces to the highest bidder.
The tragedy of grift is the mind, unprepared, often constructs a fragile new identity, crumbles under its own illusions.
I think our flawed money is also at the root of the problem. We're incentivized to grift because we're incentivized to win short term, not long term. I think fixing our money can help a lot in this regard. AI can also help because now anyone can build with a fraction of the capital that was needed before.
