You get 1 Free Transfer every week. If a player is injured/suspended: Use your transfer to swap them out for someone playing. If your team looks good: Don't spend it! If you save it, you’ll get 2 Free Transfers next week, giving you way more flexibility. Avoid "Hits": Extra transfers cost -4 points each. Early in the season, it’s almost never worth taking a hit! 2. Check Your Bench & Starting 11 Fix your bench order: FPL automatically substitutes your bench players (from left to right: Slot 1 \rightarrow 2 \rightarrow 3) only if someone in your starting 11 plays 0 minutes. Put your best potential scorer in the 1st bench slot. Watch out for red/yellow flags: If a starting player has an injury flag, make sure you have a playing sub sitting in that 1st bench spot just in case. 3. Set Your Captain & Vice-Captain Captain (C): Earns DOUBLE points. Pick your absolute best player with the easiest home fixture. Vice-Captain (V): Earns double points only if your Captain plays 0 minutes. Never leave this on a player who might not play! 4. Hold Your Chips! Don't touch your Bench Boost, Triple Captain, Free Hit, or Wildcard yet. Save these power-ups for later in the season during Double Gameweeks to maximize your points. 5. Beat the Deadline Make sure your transfers and lineup are locked in 90 minutes before the first kickoff of the Gameweek. Once the deadline passes, changes roll over to Gameweek 3!
