Halving is part of the Bitcoin and eCash consensus rules where the block subsidy is halved every 210000 blocks or roughly four years. So early blocks rewarded miners with 50 BTC (or 50M XEC) but that amount is now 3.125 after 4 halving cycles. I only mention price because eCash development is funded through the block reward and if the price stays the same, that means in 2028 the funding will be cut in half and that really isn’t sustainable. Need number to go up to pay for more work.
I don’t believe we’ll witness a bull market throughout the rest of 2026. But it’s a good time to stack up good crypto coins.
I think XEC bull market can begin this year. With the halving in 2028, price has to rise significantly before then.
What is halving? Why would it impact price?
