I think the 4-year cycle is mostly dead. My take is it was the result of the 4-year halving schedule. Every ~4 years, the mining subsidy was cut in half, effectively reducing the supply by half. If supply gets cut in half and the demand stays the same, price goes up. It's not that simple but something along those lines. So BTC saw all time highs in 2013 2017 2021 2025. But now the mining subsidy is so low compared to the already mined coins, the halving doesn't impact the supply nearly as much. Of course there's a bit of the self-fulfilling prophecy thing going on where people expect the price to go up every 4 years so they buy and price goes up on schedule. But each time the multiple BTC has gone up is much smaller as a result of its larger market cap. It might happen again in 2029 but magnitude will probably be smaller. I think at this point, market needs to show utility to really go up.

4 year cycle... Talk to me, are people saying that we are just starting the 4 year cycle, we're half way through the cycle or coming to the end of the cycle? Wots your thoughts, even joey still thinks it's a thing. So I'm intrigued, cos I normally avoid anything price related. (To the most part)
