We are all different and quality will mean something different to each of us. My hope is that the requirement to pay a small amount of money to post here will help filter out bots and reduce noise. Of course it will not be able to filter out all of it but if it can filter out a lot more than sites where it is free to post, to me that's a win. As for your other point about being hosted on a centralized data-set, my goal if the site actually gains traction is to find a way to "open source" it in a way. So anyone can host the data set and a front end with their own address receiving the 6% fees. Not exactly sure how that would work, but I feel like it's possible.

Quality content over quantity but what is quality? It's hard to describe because once a thing is a metric it stops being one. Does the platform self correct? We all make mistakes, it's human to do so. Are users coming back voluntarily or are they being spammed by endless subscription notifications or smart engagement bait hacks? I think high quality users in time recognize high fidelity content and appreciate it. I think there has to be some element of skin in the game. Yes you can tip people here and that's fine but it's deeper than micro transactions. Users creating derivative content, long form in-depth discussions and saving the content for future reference. As I understand the web site is hosted on a centralized data-set. What would happen to posts if it was gone? I am not really asking a question looking for an answer nor it's a feature request. It's just something to think about because high quality engagement recognizes that.
