Yes there's a messaging feature in Cashtab, but not private messaging currently. It used to have it but they deprecated it since no one was using at the time. Maybe if enough people want it, they'll reimplement.
Embedding standard e-mail with it should work I think. Like 100 XEC to send the e-mail.

True - still, it would be interesting to see an e-mail service that runs natively on eCash. If you don't pay, you get into spam list automatically. Sounds reasonable to me, no need for all those smart machine learning algos to filter junk. Skin in the game is sufficient.
an email service that runs on eCash rails sounds interesting. I'm not technical so I don't really know what it takes to run an email service, but I bet this could be profitable idea.
