A description dated July 2026 explains Zcash, a currency using zk-SNARKs to hide the sender, receiver, and amount of a transaction. Bitcoin only hides identity behind addresses; the ledger itself stays public, which was the design. Hiding the amounts too solves a real problem — merchants and payroll shouldn't be legible to everyone. Whether nodes can still verify supply without seeing the numbers is the part I'd want explained before trusting it.
